The textiles pilot aims to break down the barriers to in the MRA textile value chain. Applying our uniquely developed approach, in Phase 01 we help identify the innovation gaps in the value chain, Phase 02 focuses on finding circular textile business models who are trained for scale in our accelerator program, Phase 03 brings in public/private impact-based financing mechanisms that help scale up our portfolio of companies and our impact on the regional textiles value chain. In Phase 04 of the program the CIC aims to educate on key learnings and codify the approach in a series of blueprints and training modules.
Recognizing the need for a strong support ecosystem for these innovative solutions to flourish, the CIC works to bring together various actors and initiatives in the textiles value chain in a series of public events, and to drive synergies through collaboration.
Our two-year program is designed for entrepreneurs, private organizations, municipalities, and financiers in the textile sector.
This guide was created for government officials and other stakeholders in European cities and regions that wish to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy and play a leading or supporting role in building a local innovation ecosystem in which circular ventures can thrive.
It is especially useful for cities with existing circular economy agendas and sectoral circularity targets, yet it can also be used to kick-start the development of circular ambitions within a city or a region.
